What Is the Creative Space
The Creative Space was the name of the panel where marszalstudio clients viewed photos from their shoot and sent us their comments. In the new app this role has been taken over by the Live session: photos from the studio, a decision on every shot and a chat with the studio in one place. This article describes how it works today.
The idea has not changed: instead of emails with attachments and lots of links, you have one place where you see photos straight from the studio and say right away what stays and what needs changes.
During the shoot you chat with the studio, so you get an answer right away, without waiting for an email. After the shoot the photos go to photo retouching.
Access to the Live Session
You join the Live session from an invitation that comes with every product shoot. We agree the date of the shoot with you by email, and before the shoot you receive an invitation with a link and a password, or a personal link that works without a password. You don't create an account: you open the link in your browser, on a computer or a phone, enter your name and watch the photos live.
What Happens in the Live Session?
Product shoots take place in the Live session, from catalogue photos to arranged commercial shoots. Photos appear during the shoot, and for each one you choose “OK” or “Needs changes”. You mark the spot to change with the brush or a pin and add what should be corrected.
The photographer can also suggest additional shots. If you like them, you add them to your order without leaving the Live session.
Every shoot includes a live online session, but you don't have to join. If you don't, the shoot follows your brief and the photos still appear in your live session. After the session you have one more hour for notes. Afterwards, the photos go for retouching.
One round of retouching amendments is included in the price. You can mark your comments on the photo during the shoot, and after you receive the finished photos, just write to us.
You can invite your team to the shoot: click “Invite someone” and each person gets their own link. You can also forward the link we sent you together with its password. Do not forward a personal link that works without a password.
Can I Find My Photos in the Live Session?
Yes. During the shoot you see raw material straight from the studio, before any editing, so these are not the final files yet. After the shoot the photos go through further steps:
- photo retouching, if you order premium or AI retouching
- preparing the formats and sizes you ordered
- a quality check before the photos are released
You download the finished photos in the Live session, in the same place where you watch the shoot: one by one or all at once with “Download all (ZIP)”. Downloading unlocks once the photos have passed our quality check and your payment has been received. The photos are available to download for 30 days after the project is completed, so save them on your side. You can view and download them on your phone and computer.
What Has Changed Since the Creative Space
The Live session builds on the idea of the Creative Space. The main differences:
- No registration and no account - you join from the link in your invitation
- An “OK” or “Needs changes” decision on every photo, not just a comment field
- Brush and pin to mark changes directly on the photo
- Chat with the studio during and after the shoot
- Additional shots suggested by the photographer, which you can add to your order
- Finished photos to download in the same place, also as a ZIP file
- Invitations for your team - each person gets their own link
Summary
The Creative Space was the first version of the client panel at marszalstudio. Today the Live session does the same job: live photos from the studio, an “OK” or “Needs changes” decision on every shot, a chat with the studio and downloads of the finished files in one place.
The Live session works the same way on a computer and on a phone, needs no account, and you can invite anyone on your side who reviews the photos.
